Pat is an experienced ecological practitioner with seven years of practical experience across multiple aspects of ecological restoration. He has undertaken a wide range of projects throughout Aotearoa over this time, gaining a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of ecological restoration. Most recently Pat has undertaken fauna and vegetation monitoring and assessments across New Zealand for Te Papa Atawhai - Department of Conservation before co-founding Kawakawa Environmental in early 2022 with River Vos. 

Pat specialises in delivering the full spectrum of ecological restoration, from site assessment and ecological planning to weed management and biodiversity monitoring. His work over the past several years has allowed him to develop robust and effective ecological restoration techniques that he applies to his mahi. 

Pat's passion for ecological restoration stems from his love for Aotearoa's unique ecosystems and landscapes. He takes pride in the fact that his work contributes towards greater outcomes for biodiversity and people.
